When India's largest mobile phone, future tech exhibition hit Delhi.

India is the second largest smartphone consumer, but when it comes to manufacturing mobile phone technology and hardware, it lags behind. Abridging this gap, Elevate India, organized a two-day mobile phone and technology exhibition and conference, "Glob Mobile Phone and Future Tech Exhibition and Conference," which concluded on Tuesday at Hotel Grand, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. During the key note address, Prof. N K Goyal, President CMAI Association of India said, "Not many companies in India conduct B2B events in this sector, where manufacturers with diverse expertise come together. We are glad to welcome delegates and exhibitors to Glob Mobile Phone and Future Technology event. This platform provides opportunity to different stakeholders for development of trade and
commerce and manufacturing in electronics sector." Mr Sukvir Singh, Managing Partner, Elevate India, and Mr Zahin Shyada, Managing Partner, Elevate India, said, "We have taken the initiative as India is second largest market in the world of smartphone in the most growing industry of India. Despite exponential growth of the mobile phone in India, India continues to be the largest importer of the mobile phone technology and hardware than manufacturing it. Thus, we are the pioneers in taking an initiative towards contributing to the growth of Digital India and Make in India, Start Up India in mobile phone technology." He added, "We have seen biggest growth in SMEs in this industry also. Department of Telecom, Government of India said, "As the emergence of smartphones in India we will shortly come up with mobile app IMADE in with one can do innovation and styling for self." Mr Zia Aksari, Founder and Editor, TelecomDrive.com said, "The Emergence of PhyGital model" for selling smart phones in India are immense. The channels through which mobile phones are sold are either offline or online. There is about 75 percent offline channels (LRF, MBOs, Dedicated stores) and about 25 percent online channels like Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal) and many others." The gathering comprised of delegates from diverse group of stakeholders including mobile charger developers, software manufactures, hardware developers, academicians, business development heads, corporate affairs of leading mobile companies, senior officials from Ministry of Communication & IT, Department of Telecom & CXOs from reputed mobile companies.

Moto G4 launched in India: Price, specifications & more.

Motorola has finally launched its Moto G4 smartphone in India at a price tag of Rs 12,499. The handset was announced along with the Moto G4 Plus last month without any details on its availability and price. The Moto G4 will go on sale exclusively via Amazon India starting June 23.
The Moto G4 shares almost all the innards as that of the Moto G4 Plus . The only difference is that the G4 misses out on the fingerprint sensor and comes only in 2B RAM+16GB inbuilt storage combination. Also, the handset also settles for a 13MP rear camera instead of the 16MP rear camera found in the Moto G4 Plus. There is also no laser autofocus tech. Both the Moto G4 handsets support VoLTE connectivity and support dual-SIM with dual standby with 4G and 3G connections.

The Moto G4 sports 5.5-inch Full HD display with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and a pixel density of 401ppi. It is powered by a 1.5GH Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, Adreno 405 GPU, 3000mAh battery, and a 5MP front-facing camera. It also includes camera features like auto-HDR, Panorama and more.

The Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-based duo also supports VoLTE connectivity along with 4G, GPS, A GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and micro-USB connectivity.
Motorola has also added its TurboCharging feature to the Moto G4. The Lenovo -owned company claims its Turbo Power technology can deliver up to 6 hours of usage time by just charging for 15 minutes.

For those unaware, the Moto G4 Plus comes at a price tag of Rs 13,499, which is Rs 1,000 more than the Moto G4, for the 16GB inbuilt storage+2GB RAM version, while the 32GB storage+3GB RAM has been priced at 14,999.

Apple's Union Square store in San Francisco.


On the 15th anniversary of opening its first Apple Store, the Cupertino based tech giant went for a reboot, led by its own design guru Jony Ive and Angela Ahrendts, who worked at Burberry prior to joining Apple.  The company unveiled what it calls its largest product ever -- a brand-new retail store at Union Square in San Francisco. The features introduced in Apple’s Union Square store will be slowly incorporated in its other stores across the world, in the coming months. Times of India’s Technology Editor - Sulabh Puri, was in attendance at Apple’s recently concluded WWDC 2016 conference, having received an invitation for the same from Apple. While there, Sulabh had a chance to visit Apple’s two-storied Union Square store. We’ll now let the pictures do the talking:

The new store is adorned with 42-feet-tall doors opening into the square and is comprised of five departments -- The Avenue, Genius Grove, The Forum, The Plaza and The Boardroom.





Apple's SF store is powered by 100% renewable energy, including power produced by photovoltaic panels integrated into the building’s roof.

Apple’s Union Square store has its stairs crafted from laminated glass, and look really good

The Genius Bar is gone, having been replaced by the new Genius Grove. Here, customers can get support working side-by-side with the store’s 'Geniuses' under a comfortable canopy of trees in the heart of the store.

The Boardroom is a space where the store's business team offers hands-on advice and training to entrepreneurs, developers and other small and medium business customers.

The Avenue has been inspired by window displays along a boulevard, and these dynamically change with the season.

The Avenue is where customers can get their iPhones, iPads, Macbooks and Apple Watches. Its walls are interactive themed 'windows' where Apple’s products and services come to life, including everything from music to creativity to apps.

New 'Creative Pros,' Apple experts in creative arts, offer advice and expertise at each of the displays. Customers can also find 'Only at Apple' products, essentially a curated collection of third-party accessories, at the Avenue.

Apple fans gathered around the table displaying all of the company's products.

This park-like space, known as The Plaza, is open to public 24 hours a day, with public Wi-Fi and seating. There will also be live concerts here every few weekends.

Visitors can also enjoy the show sitting on wooden and leather stools, reportedly designed by 'Ive's elite unit'. Plazas will be found only in Apple’s key stores across the world, including the Union Square one.

The Forum is a vibrant gathering place, designed around a 6K video wall. It is home to 'Today at Apple,' which Apple claims brings together the world’s most talented artists, photographers, musicians, gamers, developers and entrepreneurs, inspiring customers to pursue the things they are passionate about.
